Envying All Those Cool Bloggers, She Tries To Become One

If you’ve gotten yourself here, you’re probably thinking…great. Just what we need. Another blog where the words creative and retro and chic might be used in excess. Written by yet another person who lives in Brooklyn. Who has a cute little dog, and a high-low mix of furnishings and art. Like, who doesn't? Well, at least let me reassure you that I can’t cook, have no idea how to raise kids and will not be posting photos of all the hip parties I (don’t) get invited to.

I’m simply someone who is obsessed with color and interior design and artists and ideas and style, with many that fall into that scary category called vintage. While paging through World of Interiors I always think, “If I just straightened up around here, my apartment would look just like that one.” I love the intersection where a 50’s link bracelet meets an old cardboard box under a table at yard sale. And I like to pretend that if it had been possible for me to meet the late Dorothy Draper she would have thought I had fabulous style. (Or Don Draper, but that’s another entry.) In other words, I spend a lot of time thinking about stuff.

Many of us have been trawling flea markets and resale shops for years; some have just stumbled into the joy of discovering a one-of-a-kind 40’s kitchen chair on the sidewalk. If I can help you find what you don’t even know you’re looking for, then I’ll be doing what I do best….thinking about stuff and maybe showing you some great ways for you to do that, too.
